Jake and Tasha met in Seattle Washington through a mutual friend. They went out dancing and not long into the night, became inseparable. Their first date lasted all day and into the night. During their conversation, they learned they had grown up only 15 minutes away from each other in Denver, Colorado and had a lot of friends and experiences in common! They knew they hadn’t met just by chance and that it was meant to be. They were dating 3 days later and married 4 years later!
With some of their friends, Jake and Tasha attended an annual camping trip in Olympic National Forest where a Second Beach, a beach special to them both, was located. They hiked down to the beach and, little did Tasha know, that the whole group was in on a little surprise for her. Jake took Tasha on a walk down the beach and popped the question. Then they all celebrated with champagne! It was a magical moment with the ocean and their closest friends by their side.
Jake and Tasha describe their wedding as absolutely perfect! A lot the details were DIY including the bouquets, ceremony arch and table decor. They were surrounded by 130 of their closest friends and family, many of whom felt it was the most special wedding they had ever attended. They wrote their own vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Jake and Tasha wanted the celebrations to reflect them and decided to forgo a lot of the “typical” wedding traditions to make the day truly their own.
