Nick and Erin met by the most amazing, and remarkable, of chances. From a young age Erin aspired to be a Walt Disney World cast member and participate in the Disney College Program. Nick didn’t know something like this existed until a rainy spring day. Applications were sent, acceptances were delivered, dates to start were selected, work locations were assigned, and orientations were scheduled. Erin and Nick were brought together through a series of chances that are more notable than one could even dream of.
On an early January morning, a nervous Erin sat at a table waiting for orientation to begin. An equally nervous Nick spotted a table and walked over to have a seat. “Please don’t sit here, please don’t sit here” Erin thought to herself. Nick sat down, despite that internal monologue, and their conversation began. A conversation turned into friends gathering, and eventually just a date between the two of them. Dates turned into a relationship, their dog Indy, a move to Colorado, and their cat Owen.
Engagement between Nick and Erin was appropriate at only one place in the entire world: Walt Disney World. Nick began plotting engagement, having a friend craft Erin’s ring and securing the trip that would take them back to where it all began for them. Nick surprised Erin with this trip a month before they would leave, sending her stomach into loops. “Was this it? Am I getting engaged?” she pondered. Nick set what day they would be engaged, the very first day, but didn’t have a time or a moment picked. He was sure he’d know when the time was right.
Nick and Erin arrived, dropped their bags off immediately and set out for the Magic Kingdom. As the hours of the first day ticked on Erin wasn’t sure engagement was happening on day one, and that was okay. As the last parade of the night passed by and other visitors began to depart, Nick and Erin made one last walk down the Frontierland Riverwalk. A quiet moment set between them, and Nick decided the moment was then. Nick told Erin how much he loved her, and what she meant to him. Tears began to well up in her eyes as Nick dropped down to one knee and asked her, “Will you marry me?” Erin accepted without a moment of hesitation. Nick, on the other hand, exhaled and was more tired than he had ever been in his life. They both decided to celebrate the only way they knew how, by taking one more trip on Splash Mountain. As they left the Magic Kingdom that night, Erin’s dream of a Disney engagement was a reality and Nick had his princess.
On September 21st, 2018, Nick and Erin went their separate ways on the morning of their wedding day. Erin was surrounded by her bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law while hair, make-up, and a wedding dress was put on. Nick headed out to a cabin retreat secured by his groomsmen, and they sat out on the cabin’s deck and enjoyed the serenity of the Genesee air. Nick and Erin left their locations early and departed for their first look photo session.
Erin waited with excitement as her groom was led to her for photos, his eyes shut tight. When Nick finally was allowed to look at his bride, he realized she was even more breathtaking than he imagined. As photos were snapped they fully realized how lucky they were to be sharing these moments together, set on a beautiful September evening.
Nick and Erin arrived at the Pines, and were greeted by their coordinator, who helped set the stage for an enchanting ceremony and a memorable evening. Nick and Erin again departed, as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Teary eyed father and daughter made their way down the aisle, as friends and family looked on with love in their eyes and hearts. A setting sun, fall colors, and the twinkling lights from up above were the perfect backdrop.
The reception and ceremony could not have gone any better. The Pines staff treated Erin, Nick, and their guests like they were royalty. Hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dessert were as delicious as they looked.
